It would seem the solution is to try logging in again from another network. I would like to contact Valve directly as this could be a serious issue but I can't find any contact information online.Įdit: Immediately after posting this I had the idea to disconnect my phone from my home network and try logging in again. This tells me something with my account is locked and a little bit broken.ĭoes anyone have any advice for this? I know I have the correct password this time as I have signed into my account repeatedly on the Steam client and I still get my Steam Auth code from my phone even though I can't sign into the app.
I got the exact same issue on Firefox as well. Instead I installed Firefox so it would be completely fresh and free of any add-ons. This time I tried to sign into my account on Chrome and got "Something went wrong while attempting to sign you in." Some searching around told me to try reinstalling my web browser. So I waited twenty-four hours and tried again. Instead it told me "too many failed attempts" again. After that brainfart I figured I'd wait a few hours and try to log into the mobile app again. After I got the "too many failed attempts" and logged out and back into my PC client with the correct password. I don't know how I managed to forget my password for a moment but I got it wrong too many times on the mobile app.
I'm having a super weird issue with logging into Steam anywhere but the PC client.
